About Chinnakaruppan!
Chinnakaruppan is basically from Kothamangalam, a small village near Karaikudi. He has completed his Bachelors in Engineering at Annamalai University and his Masters in the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Additionally, Chinnakaruppan has completed a number of well-recognized executive leadership development programs, including the Gap International Breakthrough Intensive and Executive Challenge courses and Harvard Business Publishing Leadership Development, Organisational Leadership course. He is certified as a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM). He served on boards of Project Management Institute Keystone Chapter and Tamil Nadu Foundation (TNF) Greater Philadelphia Chapter.
In his long career, Chinnakaruppan has more than 20 years of solid cross-functional experience in commercial operations, project & portfolio management, engineering and technical leadership, with expertise in team building and staff leadership, supply chain management, Rx-to-OTC switch and developing best practices for commercial execution of pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare products based on Project Management Institute (PMI) and American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) bodies of knowledge.
Chinnakaruppan spent more than 15 years at Merck Consumer Care, formerly Schering-Plough HealthCare, where he held a number of leadership roles from Manager, Maintenance and Engineering, Executive Director, Global Project Management to Executive Director Commercial Operations for Canada, Latin America and Western Europe to his most recent role as General Manager of South Korean Consumer Care business and Executive Director for the Merck-Bayer Commercial Transition. He was at Abbott Laboratories prior to Merck, holding various leadership roles in engineering and technical/operations.
Most recently, Chinnakaruppan combined his strong project management, organisational, and analytical skills with a collaborative and consultative style to help clients increase efficiencies, create greater value, manage/mitigate risk, align operating/business models with strategy in order to drive exceptional business results. In addition, he was involved in business development, organisational change management, business transition/integration and establishing a project management office.
Currently, Chinnakaruppan is the Chief Operating Officer of Arcadia Consumer Healthcare, Inc., a consumer health and wellness company based in Bridgewater, New Jersey, USA.
Training!
This short yet effective training is aimed at moulding our employees in the area of project management. It was an eye-opening session for them to deeply understand the basics of a business and functioning of an organisation to increase its effectiveness and productivity with no compromise to the quality.
Chinnakaruppan began the session with a small intro about his profession, charity contributions and his beloved family to break the ice and create a connection with our employees. It worked quite well. All of our employees participated in the session with interest. He has made the session highly interactive by providing chances for all of our employees to communicate and share their views on the points discussed which is very important in an organisation. He discussed in depth about the basics, ins & outs of project management along with its importance to any company regardless of its field and structure of operation. Followed by a small activity to all of our employees to deliver a message and to make them understand the whole process was simply top-notch! At last, the session is wrapped with a Q & A session for all of them to discuss and clarify their doubts on the topic.
